2000 Harvesting
A mild winter with rare snowfalls favoured an early budding.
A wet spring was followed by a long sunny and windy period during which the grapes set and subsequently grew bigger.
During the second half of September, cloudy and rainy spells followed by sunny ones did not alter the highly healthy condition of the grapes which therefore yielded a high quality crop.
The wines
The wines of this vintage are excellent; however, they seem to lack a bit of concentration when compared to the previous ones, owing to the climatic changes occurred during the grape growing phase.
The balance and the delicate flavour of these wines are pleasant, while their alcoholic contents is high, which enables us to foresee a long ageing.
