1999 Harvesting

Good and regular climatic conditions in the early months of the year fostered an excellent vegetative development of the vine, while the summer months were characterized by thermic amounts and water availability similar to the 1998 ones.

The mid-September rainfalls did not jeopardize the health of the grapes, they merely caused the putting off of the harvesting to sunny days.

The wines

The fifth consecutive great vintage presents powerful wines whose characteristics make them suitable for very long ageing.

Richly flavoured with a great tannic texture, these wines have an excellent colour and a wide spectrum scent : features which let us hope for a superb evolution of these wines.
