1998 Harvesting
The first two months of the year were regular and dry and also in March only one rainy day occurred.
In April and May the water levels in the soil went back to normality thanks to some rainfalls and even some hail, while summer, like the previous one, was dry with very high mean temperatures.
With their very high temperatures, September and October turned out to be rather favourable also thanks to some moderate rainfalls.
The wines
Another great vintage featuring refined wines possibly less strong than the previous ones, but certainly endowed with balance and elegance.
Remarkably scented with a well balanced body, these wines are endowed with great acid/tannic harmony which makes them suitable for very long ageing.
