1993 Harvesting
The only peculiarity of the 1993 vintage may be the anomaly of a rather cold July with temperatures slightly lower than the June ones.
On the other hand, the water supply was considerable. In June and July there were 15 days of rainfall that caused phyto-sanitary problems due to the frequent wet condition of the leaves together with an unusual vegetative bloom.
Frequent and heavy rainfalls were also recorded both in September and October.
The wines
The Fall rains somehow negatively affected the good quality of the grapes and, therefore, of the wines which have a medium body with a good scent , but they are not suitable for very long ageing.
