Characteristics:
- intense ruby red colour turning to violet
- vinous, fruity bouquet, with spicy notes
- a pleasant, very complex, rich palate
- an important, persistent and harmonious wine

soups, mixed stewed meats, red meat dishes, sweet or slightly
stronger cheeses.
